Common questions

Utility billing — answered.

The questions we hear most when towns are evaluating this module. Anything specific to your charter, your state, or your existing vendor — we'll answer on the discovery call.

01 Can we import meter reads from our handheld or AMI system? +
Yes. We support generic CSV from any handheld or AMI vendor; specific vendor integrations (Sensus FlexNet, Itron, Beacon, Neptune, etc.) are scoped during onboarding based on your meter fleet. We map your file format once; after that, reads import on a schedule or on demand.
02 What happens when an account becomes delinquent? +
Aging buckets advance automatically (30/60/90+). Each tier triggers the dunning template you configure — late notice, shut-off warning, lien notification. Accounts crossing your statutory threshold get queued for lien filing through the property tax module.
03 Can residents sign up for autopay without calling the office? +
Yes. From the resident portal, residents enroll in autopay with a saved card or ACH, set their preferred bill date, and pause for vacation holds — all without staff involvement.
04 Do we have to print and mail bills, or can we go paperless? +
Both. Each account chooses its delivery preference. Paper goes to a print-and-mail vendor on a configured schedule; paperless residents get an emailed PDF and a portal notification.
