Common questions

Work orders — answered.

The questions we hear most when towns are evaluating this module. Anything specific to your charter, your state, or your existing vendor — we'll answer on the discovery call.

01 How do crews update an order from the field? +
From any browser on the truck's tablet or their phone. Take a photo, type a status note, mark complete. No native app to install or update.
02 Can we schedule recurring preventive maintenance? +
Yes. PM schedules per asset (hydrant flush quarterly, plow blade replacement at season end, lift-station service monthly). The system generates the WO and assigns it on the schedule you set.
03 How do work-order costs roll up for the budget? +
Each WO logs labor hours, materials cost, and equipment use. Costs roll up to the asset, the department budget line, and (when applicable) the parent service request or grant. Fed into the GL for actuals reporting.
04 What happens when a request comes in but no crew is available? +
The WO sits in the unassigned queue with its SLA timer running. Supervisors see the queue and can assign manually or auto-assign by next-available rules. The resident still sees status as "received, scheduling."
